About Sam Corban NDA, Bsc, BA, Member NZRA

Although coming from a well known New Zealand wine making family, Sam chose a career in a different field. Sam worked in film production for many years but an interest in acupuncture arose after being treated successfully by acupuncture for an injury. Realizing that the scope of acupuncture was much wider than treatment for injuries, he decided to embark on a career in it.

After graduating from the New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine, he established Sam Corban Acupuncture in 2006. He treats a wide variety of conditions in the clinic, in particular, fertility issues, pain and injury, stress, and immune-related disorders. He also has a keen interest in lifestyle and health promotion and is committed to development and research in the field of acupuncture. To this end Sam is currently working with the research team at North Shore Hospital on a study trialing acupuncture for pain relief in the emergency department.

Sam has a National Diploma in Acupuncture and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology from the University of Auckland. He is a member of the New Zealand Register of Acupuncturists.

He also has a Bachelor of Arts in Film and History and an interest in wine, architecture, design, fitness, and cooking.
